BIO

Rob has been practicing general civil litigation, election law, constitutional law, environmental and natural resources litigation, and appellate advocacy in Montana since 1993. Rob also has extensive experience litigating the constitutionality of election reform laws and ballot initiatives. Immediately before joining JMG in 2021, Rob served four years as Montana Deputy Attorney General, representing the State in constitutional law matters and complex environmental cases before the Montana Supreme Court and in federal courts.

 

Due to his 30+ years of litigation experience and familiarity with Montana courts, Rob frequently serves as Montana counsel representing national and international companies litigating in Montana.

Rob received his B.S.Ed. from Ohio University in 1980. After teaching and coaching in public schools in Ohio and Montana, Rob attended law school at the University of Montana, graduating in 1993. He is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Montana, all State of Montana courts, and the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
